AB Bet Betting Rules
Horse Racing
General Information & Settlement Rules
• We pay double result on all horse racing selections running in Ireland and the UK which are covered in Full Service. Double result/first past the post bets are subject to the maximum payout limits set out in the maximum payout section of these rules (Note: applies only to meetings covered by Full Service).
• The maximum payout limits apply even where a customer has taken prices, and except in the following cases:
• Ante Post bets are subject to a maximum payment of £10,000.
• Any bet containing a horse racing market other than the conventional "to win the race" market is subject to a maximum payout of £10,000.
• Horse racing bets are automatically settled on a double result basis unless otherwise stated or as detailed in the double result section herein.
• Ante Post Racing bets are settled on the Rules of Racing unless otherwise advertised.
• Where a result is amended after the weigh-in such an amendment will be ignored for settlement purposes. The advertised times of races, the runners, returns and results as published in the Racing Post (or the national press) will govern settlement of all bets, excepting errors and omissions. Unless otherwise provided for in these rules, all bets will be settled at starting price, with the place part of each-way bets settled as per place terms set out in these rules.
• Queries regarding errors should be made within 14 days of settlement of the bet.
• In a dead heat, the stake money on a selection is divided by the number of runners involved in the dead heat. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake with the remainder of the stake money being lost.
• When a selection is made void or does not run, then for single bets the stake will be returned. In accumulative bets the stake will run on to the remaining selection(s) with a double becoming a single and so on up.
• Where one or more runners from a combined horses selection are declared non-runners the combined price will be recalculated based on the SPs of the remaining runners in the combined horses selection and the bet will be settled at this price. Where there is a single runner remaining in the combined horses selection the bet will be settled at the SP of that runner. Where all runners in a combined horses selection are declared non-runners, the bet will be voided.
Abandonments/postponements/re-run races
• If a race programme is abandoned or postponed bets will be void. If a meeting is postponed and moved to another day, all bets will be void.
• If a race is re-run, betting in the first race will rule settlement.
• In the event of a race being abandoned after the off, all bets placed after the final declarations had been published will be deemed void and stakes will be refunded.
Each-way betting
• Each-way accumulative bets are settled win-to-win and place-to-place. In any race reduced to fewer than five starters, each-way bets will be taken as 'all-to-win' given that there are no places available.
• In accumulative wagers, the bet reverts to normal place odds according to the number of runners in each race
• Where there is excess place money over win money in each-way bets, then that part of the bet will be void, win or lose. When special place betting is offered for a race, this will rule settlement for all place bets on that race.
• The following governs settlement of the place part of each-way bets in races where we are not offering a promotion paying out on extra places:
• Handicaps of 16 or more runners: 1/4 odds for the first four places Handicaps of 12-15 runners: 1/4 odds for the first three places All other races of 8 or more runners: 1/5 odds for the first three places All races of 5, 6 or 7 runners: 1/4 odds for the first two places All races of less than 5 runners: all place stakes will be treated as win stakes.
• From time to time we may offer promotions that pay out on extra placings in a horse race. In these instances we reserve the right to alter the standard place terms as set out above (e.g. we may offer to pay out 5 or 6 places in a handicap with 16 or more runners but to do so at 1/5 of the odds as opposed to standard 1/4). These promotions are not confined to handicaps. The onus is on the customer at all times to check the each way terms on offer particularly in those races where we are offering additional place payouts.
Double result
• Double result is only applicable to horse racing in Ireland and the UK where an industry SP is returned.
• Double result means if your horse is first past the post you get paid, however, should your horse be awarded the race or promoted to a place, as a result of a stewards enquiry or an objection which is announced before the 'weigh in'', we will still pay you.
• In a combined Horses bet, the bet remains a winner if a runner in a combined horses selection is first past the post and another horse is promoted to a winner. The bet is promoted to winner if the runner in a combined horses selection is promoted to winner where the first past the post was not in the combined horses selection.
• Double result does not apply to the following bets or circumstances:
• a. All Future / Ante Post Racing bets.
• c. Any horse disqualified for taking the wrong course or for carrying an incorrect weight.
• d. Races which are declared void.
• e. Where there is an official correction to the result by the judge or SIS prior to the 'weigh in' and any races which are declared void before the 'weigh in' for which Rules of Racing will apply.
• f. All bets on horse racing outside of Ireland and the UK (which shall be settled on a Rules of Racing basis only).
• g Boosts
• h. The Aintree Grand National
Ante Post Racing
• All racing Ante Post bets are accepted and settled on a Rules of Racing basis only.
• Ante Post bets are accepted at quoted prices, up to and including the day prior to the event, on the basis of all in, run or not, entered or not. Therefore, selections not taking part in the race/event concerned are losers.
• Ante Post bets are those placed at our quoted prices on horses and prior to the race becoming classed as 'day of event' (day of event is a term used to describe the time at which overnight declarations are made, usually 10am on the day preceding the race (or two days for certain Group 1 races) for horse racing.
• All bets placed after the overnight declaration stage are settled in accordance with our early prices/day of race rules.
• In line with principals laid down by Tattersalls Rules of Racing, Ante Post bets will be void under the following circumstances, otherwise bets stand:
• a. If the race is abandoned or declared void.
• b. If the venue of the race is altered or postponed to a later date at a different track.
• c. If the race is postponed to a later date at the same track with entries totally reopened bets placed after the initial entries are void, but bets placed prior to the initial entry stage will stand. All bets will stand if a race is postponed to later date at the same track with the same entries, whether the bet was placed before or after the initial entries stage.
• d. If the horse is balloted out or eliminated under Jockey Club rules single bets will be void. In any such cases, accumulative Ante Post bets will stand on the remaining legs, at the prices laid on the selections in those races, with a double becoming a single, a treble becoming a double, etc.
• e. In the event of horses being withdrawn under Jockey Club/Turf Club rules, to limit the number of entries taken part, these horses shall be void. The liability of a layer against horses remaining will be reduced on both win and place parts of such bets, in accordance with the rate to be announced before the race by Tattersalls Committee, dependant on the odds currently available against the withdrawn horses at the time of withdrawal. All bets are executed at the price ruling at the time of handing in of the bet. Win doubles, trebles, etc are calculated at full accumulative odds. Ante Post bets are settled at the price and place terms applicable at the time of acceptance. Should a wrong price or place terms be taken in error we reserve the right to settle the bet at the correct price/place terms. We reserve the right to correct any palpable error. Place only bets, conditional bets and forecast bets are not accepted Ante Post Racing. When the same selection is backed to win two or more races/events in Ante Post bets, special odds are applicable. These special odds will supersede the accumulative odds calculated from the individual event prices irrespective of the fact that the individual event prices may be endorsed on the slip. If special odds were not available, the stake will be divided equally as singles at the prices available at the time the bet was placed.
• f. Any horse that does not qualify for, or is expunged from a race will be settled as a loser. Bets taken on a horse after they have not qualified by the applicable qualifying date will be voided.
Non-runner no bet
• Ante Post betting ceases at 10am on the day of the overnight declaration stage and all bets placed after that stage will be 'non-runner no bet', ie. your bet stake will be refunded if your horse fails to compete. Tattersalls Rule 4 may apply.
Late withdrawals - Tattersall's Rule 4
• In all horse races, excluding Ante-Post bets, if a horse is withdrawn, not under starter's orders, bets will be settled in accordance with Tattersalls Rule 4(c), which says that backers of the withdrawn horse will have their stakes refunded.
• When there has not been time for the market to reform, deductions are made from winnings (exclusive of stake) according to the table below.
• In cases of more than one withdrawal in a race, the total deduction will not exceed £0.90 in £1.00.
• When there has been time to reform the market, deductions will apply only to bets at prices struck prior to the announcement of the withdrawal.
• The below scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in early price races and will be used for other events where we specifically advertise, either in these rules or at the event itself that Tattersalls Rule 4 (abbreviated to Rule 4) may apply.
• The below scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in a combined horses selection. The deduction is made from winnings (exclusive of stake) based on the combined price taken. The exception to this is when one of the runners in a combined horses selection is a non-runner in which case combined horses non-runner rules apply.

• Should any selection included within a fixed odds forecast or fixed odds tricast bet be a non-runner, the entire forecast or tricast bet in question will be void.
Best Odds Guaranteed
For Example:
• If you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with an SP of 4/1, we pay you 4/1.
• If you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with an SP of 2/1, we still pay you 3/1.
• Best Odds Guaranteed applies to Singles & Multiples on win & each way markets only.
• Best Odds Guaranteed applies to all Irish and UK Horse Racing from 8am the following day from when you opt in.
• No part of a bet staked over £100 win or £50 ew is eligible for a Best Odds Guaranteed bonus, example a £200 single at 3/1 with the selection winning at 5/1 will return £800.
• If you split your bet up the first bet only will be eligible for the Best Odds Guaranteed bonus. Example £100 on Red Rum 5/1 and then another £100 on Red Rum at 5/1 – ‘Red Rum’ wins at 8/1 – Your first bet will return £900 and your duplicate bet will return £600.
• The Best Odds Guaranteed bonus is capped at £500, if you have £100 on a horse at 5/1 and it drifts to 16/1 and wins we will pay £1,100. Same applies to multis, if the new settlement based on the enhanced ‘best odds’ pushes the new payout to more the £500 more than it would have been without Best Odds you will receive a maximum of £500 extra
Best Odds Guaranteed does not apply to:
• Bets placed at ante-post odds
• Bets placed on races outside the UK and Ireland
For commercial reasons, AB Bet reserves the right to exclude selected customers from receiving various promotions including Best Odds Guaranteed.
Betting without
• Where we offer prices on an event without a nominated selection, for settlement purposes the finishing position of the 'without' selection will be ignored.
• Any each-way terms advertised are settled on the actual number of runners who take part in the race, excluding the 'without' selection.
Special win and/or place multiples
• Where we quote a price for two or more specified selections in a win or place multiple, settlement will revert to SP if there is a non-runner of 10/1 or less in any leg of the bet.
Match Bets
• A match bet is based on predicting which horse will achieve the best finishing position.
• Bets are settled on the official result. If both horses finish in the same position, Bets will be voided
• If one horse in a match fails to complete, or takes the wrong course, the other will be considered to have won the match. If neither horse finishes, bets will be void.
• Both selections must start for bets to stand, otherwise match bets are void.
Combined winning distances for a meeting
• Distances for each race meeting are settled on a 'first past the post' basis. If any of the scheduled races at a meeting are not run, bets are void unless the maximum quote has been attained.
• The maximum winning distance per race for a flat race is 12 lengths while a National Hunt race is 30 lengths. This also applies should only one horse complete the race.
• Distances are as follows:
• Nose - 0.05
• Short Head: 0.1
• Head: 0.2
• Neck: 0.3
• Half a length: 0.5
• 3/4 of a length: 0.75
• 1 length: 1
• Etc...
• No Finishers - If there are no finishers in a race, it shall be treated as void
• Walkovers will be excluded from all markets unless created by the withdrawal of a horse after we have begun quoting a market concerning the race in question, in which case the make-ups will be as follows; Flat 5 lengths, National Hunt 12 lengths.
Jockey number of winners
• If the jockey rides any horse which, according to that days Racing Post he was not scheduled to ride, that ride does not count for the purposes of bets on that jockey.
Winning favourites
• If the favourite is withdrawn the second favourite replaces the favourite for this market. If both the first and second favourites are withdrawn the next lowest horse(s) in the betting counts for this market.
If neither an official SP nor industry SP is returned on any of the included races - all bets on this market are void.
Football
All bets on football are automatically settled on the basis of 90 minutes play unless otherwise stated for that particular market. 90 minutes play includes time added on by referee for stoppages.
• If a match is abandoned after it has already kicked off, any bets where the outcome has already been decided will stand. All other selections will be made void.
• Where we have settled a bet and, due to a subsequent VAR decision, it becomes apparent that such settlement was inaccurate, we reserve the right to reverse such settlement (provided that the VAR decision occurred prior to the conclusion of the match or other timeframe relating to the bet).
• If a match is postponed and rescheduled within 3 days all bets stand. If a client requests the bet to be voided after the initial postponement it will be at AB Bets discretion as to whether the request is granted.
• If the venue of a match is other than what is indicated on our website, the bet will stand provided the match has not been switched to the opponent's ground, in which case the match will be declared void. Notwithstanding this rule, in major international tournaments (e.g., World Cup, European Championships), all venues will be deemed neutral. If the scheduled venue of a match is changed, including if the venue changes to a new venue in a different country, all bets will stand.
• Games where a referee removes the players from the field of play for a temporary period but resumes the remaining minutes of play by midnight local event time will not be deemed as abandoned and all bets will stand.
• Own goals do not count for settlement of first/last goalscorer bets.
First / Last goalscorer
• Bets taken on first goalscorer will be void if that player does not take part in the game or if he comes on after the first goal is scored.
• Every effort is made to quote first/last player to score odds for all possible players. However, odds for other players are available on request and will count as winners if they score the first/last goal even if they are not named in our lists.
• Bets on last goalscorer will be void if that player does not take part in the game or does not come on as a substitute. In the event of a dispute over the award of a goal for first/last goalscorer or scorer special purposes, settlement will be in accordance with the result given by governing body of that league within 24 hours of the final whistle. Any subsequent changes to the result will be ignored for settlement purposes.
Anytime goalscorer
• A player will be considered to be a runner and bets will stand should the player play any part in the match.
• Goals scored in normal time only count for this market. Goals scored in extra time or in a penalty shoot-out do not count.
• Own goals do not count.
Tournament goalscorer
• The top goal scorer market will be settled on the basis of the player who scored the most goals and not the Golden Boot, therefore Dead Heat rules apply.
Relegation
• If a team is relegated from a league because, at the end of a season, it has finished within the relegation positions which are relevant to that league (i.e. usually any of the bottom three league positions), bets on that team to be relegated will be settled as winning bets. If a team is otherwise disqualified, thrown out or removed from a league (i.e. in circumstances other than those where it has finished the season within the relevant relegation positions): (i) if such team is disqualified, thrown out or removed from the league before the relevant season has started, all bets on the affected market will be void (and a new market will subsequently be loaded) and (ii) if such team is disqualified, thrown out or removed from the league after the relevant season has started (or a determination is made by the applicable governing body, during the season, that the team will be thrown out or removed from the league following the season's conclusion), all bets on the affected team will be void. For the avoidance of doubt, if a points deduction is imposed on a team such that it finishes the season within the relegation places which are relevant to the applicable league, bets on that team to be relegated will be settled as winning bets.
Scorecasts
• First player to score/correct score doubles may be requested on selected matches.
• To win you must successfully forecast both the player who will score the first goal in a selected match and also the correct score after 90 minutes play.
• If a player is selected who comes on after the first goal has been scored or does not take part in the match, the bet will be settled as a correct score single.
• In the event of a match being abandoned, bets will be void unless a goal has been scored prior to abandonment, when bets will be settled as singles on the selected first goalscorer at the appropriate odds.
• In the eventuality of all goals in the match being own goals, all bets will be settled as correct score singles at the correct score odds only.
Double Chance
• A double chance bet allows you to cover two of the three possible outcomes in a football match with one bet.
• Home team and draw - Your bet is a winner if the home team wins or draws the match.
• Away team and draw - Your bet is a winner if the away team wins or draws the match.
• Home team and away team - Your bet is a winner if the home team or the away team wins the match.
• Normal 90 minute betting rules apply.
Handicap Betting
For the purpose of deciding results on handicap betting, the actual score of the match (Team A v Team B) is adjusted for the handicap. If Team A or Team B are selected, then the handicap adjustment applies to the goals scored by that team. If the draw is selected then the handicap adjustment applies to Team A.
For example, Handicap markets are shown as:
Team A (-1)7/2
Draw (-1) 3/1
Team B (+1) 8/15
If Team A win by 2 or more goals then all bets on Team A(-1) will be winners. Bets on the Draw (-1) and Team B (+1) will be losers. (Eg Team A win 2-0 so becomes Team A 1-0 after the -1 adjustment so Team A are the handicap winners.)
If Team A win by exactly 1 goal, then all bets on Draw (-1) will be winners. Bets on Team A (-1) and Team B (+1) will be losers (Eg Team A 1-0 becomes 0-0 after the -1 adjustment to the home team so it's a handicap draw)
If the match ends in a draw or Team B win by any number of goals, then all bets on Team B (+1) will be winners. Bets on Draw(-1) and Team A (-1) will be losers. (eg Team A 1-1 Team B becomes Team A 1-2 Team B after the +1 adjustment to Team B so Team B are the handicap winners)
2 UP Offer
- We payout out as winner if a team leads by 2 goals at any stage (not just 2-0) in the 90 minutes, extra time does not count
- Available for all football matches priced up, or requested to be priced up.
- Available only for regular match odds win draw win prices only and cannot be used with any boosts.
- Example – We increase the price on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid to 2/1 from Evens, Barcelona lead 2-0 but the match ends a draw, a bet at the boosted 2/1 will be settled as a loser, a bet at the Evens regular match odds will be settled as a winner
- 2 UP offer eligible for singles and multiples
- Maximum stake eligible for this offer is £100, a £200 bet on an eligible 2 UP market on a team (6/4) that leads by 2 goals but doesn’t win will be settled as follows - £100 at 6/4 = £250, the remaining £100 will be settled as a loser. Total return = £250
- A multiple bet of £200 with a team leading by 2 goals who don’t win the match will be settled as a £100 bet.
Rugby Union Rules
• Unless otherwise stated all rugby bets are settled on 80 minutes' play.
• If a match is postponed bets will stand until 48 hours from the original kick off time after which time they will be void. If the client wishes for the bet to be voided after the initial postponement this can be done by request, at AB Bets discretion.
• If the scheduled venue is changed after a bet is placed, all bets will stand provided the match is not postponed by more than 48 hours from the original kick off time.
• Any multiple bet reduced by an abandoned, postponed or re-arranged match will stand on the remaining selections.
• If a match starts but is abandoned before its completion, all bets will be void unless an official result is declared by the applicable governing body. Where an official result has been declared by the official governing body, that official result will govern match and handicap market settlement but all other markets will be void unless their result has already been determined at the point of abandonment (i.e. at the point of abandonment, it would not have been possible for the outcome of the bet to change had the match continued to its natural conclusion). By way of example, if 37 points have been scored at the time a match is abandoned: (i) a bet placed on 35 points or more to be scored would be settled as a winning bet, (ii) a bet placed on 30-35 points to be scored would be settled as a losing bet and (iii) a bet placed on 40-45 points to be scored would be void. In such circumstances, bets on last tryscorer / team to score last / team to score last try / last scoring play would all be void.
• Outright Bets: All bets placed on outright markets will be settled on official tournament results.
• All outright markets which state Regular Season are deemed to mean the official standings of teams after all matches of the predetermined season are played and before any playoff matches have commenced.
• Tryscorers: All wagers are refunded on players not in the official match day 22 or 23 (depending on the competition). If a substitute is not on the field before the first try is scored then bets on that player will be void in the 'First Tryscorer' markets 'First Team Tryscorer' markets. If a substitute comes on at any stage during the game they will be considered 'All In' for all other tryscorer markets. If they do not take any part in the game they will be void in all tryscorer markets. All bets placed in this market on the selection 'No Tryscorer' should be win only. If any Each Way bets are placed on this selection, all place parts of the bet will be made VOID.
• First/Last/Xth Try Scorer: In the event of a penalty try being scored, we will pay out on the penalty try option if we have offered it as a selection (whether in first try scorer, last try scorer or Xth try scorer markets). If the penalty try option is not offered then we will: (i) (for first try scorer markets), pay out on the basis of the second try where the first try is in fact a penalty try and (ii) (for last try scorer markets), pay out on the basis of the penultimate try where the last try is in fact a penalty try. For 'Xth try scorer' markets, if the penalty try option is not offered, we will void any bets placed on the Xth try to be scored by a particular player if that try is in fact a penalty try.
• First 2nd Half Tryscorer: Substitutes will be void if the first 2nd half try is scored before they come on.
• Top Tryscorer / Top Team Tryscorer / Top Points Scorer: Dead Heat rules apply.
• Regular Season Team Matchbets: Dead Heat rules apply.
• Man of the Match: for Rugby World Cup Man of the Match markets, the market will be settled based on the official 'Man of the Match' as determined by the Rugby World Cup official site. If the Rugby World Cup official site fails to declare an official Man of the Match for any reason, all bets will be void.
Rugby League Rules
• Except for bets placed via "Match Betting" and "Handicap Betting" markets, all bets on Super League and NRL markets will be settled on the basis of the official result (including any extra time). NRL/Super League bets placed via "Match Betting" and "Handicap Betting" markets, and any rugby league bets placed in relation to other competitions (i.e. other than Super League/NRL), will be settled on the basis of 80 minutes' play.
• If the result of a Super League or NRL match after extra time is a draw, then our normal dead heat rules will apply. For the avoidance of doubt, in such circumstances, all winning margin bets will be deemed unsuccessful (given that neither team will, in fact, have won the relevant match).
• If the result of an NRL match after extra time is a draw, then the Rule will apply to all bets where a winner has not been officially declared. All winning margin bets will be deemed unsuccessful bets as neither team has won the match.
• If a match is postponed bets will stand until 48 hours from the original kick off time after which time they will be void. If the client wishes for the bet to be voided after the initial postponement this can be done by request.
• If the venue is changed from the one advertised all bets on that match will stand, unless the client requests the wager to be made void.
• Any bet reduced by an abandoned, postponed or re-arranged match will stand on the remaining selections.
• Outright Bets: All bets placed on outright markets will be settled on the official tournament result.
• Tryscorers: All bets will be refunded on players not included in the official match day 17. All players that are named in the match day 17 will be considered 'All In' for all tryscorer markets (including "First Tryscorer" and "First Team Tryscorer" markets). For Super League matches, bets on the 18th player will be void if that player takes no part in the match. Bets will stand once the player enters the field of play. In the event of a penalty try being scored, we will pay out on the penalty try option if we have offered it as a selection (whether in first try scorer, last try scorer or Xth try scorer markets). If the penalty try option is not offered then we will: (i) (for first try scorer markets), pay out on the basis of the second try where the first try is in fact a penalty try and (ii) (for last try scorer markets), pay out on the basis of the penultimate try where the last try is in fact a penalty try.
• First 2nd Half Tryscorer: If the player is included in his team's matchday 17 man squad, all bets will stand regardless of whether the player is on the field for the first 2nd half try or not.
• Top Tryscorer / Top Points Scorer: Dead Heat rules apply.
• Regular Season Team Matchbets: Dead Heat rules apply.
Boxing
• Bets will be settled on the official result immediately after the fight. Or the following morning, at the latest, if the fight is scheduled for the middle of the night.
• Results will be based on the official result at ringside with the exception of a technical draw (the rules for which are set out in the "Technical Decision / Draw" section below). If for some reason official verification does not occur at the fighting venue, then reference will be made to www.boxrec.com for settlement purposes.
• In the event of a wrong result being read out in error, bets will be settled on the corrected result.
• Should an official or unofficial sanctioning body overturn a fight decision based on an appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result or any other fighter sanction, this will not be recognised for betting purposes.
• Should a contest be postponed, bets will stand if the rescheduled event occurs within 48 hours. Otherwise, all bets will be void.
• In the event of a 'no contest' being declared, all bets will be made void, with the exception of selections where the outcome has already been unequivocally determined.
• If a boxer is substituted, all bets on the fight will be made void, except in tournament-based competitions where a Rule 4 deduction may apply.
• Should there be a change in the manner in which a contest is advertised (e.g. a contest changes from a title fight to a non-title fight), bets will stand.
• In fights where the scheduled number of rounds changes, all bets will stand unless the result would be automatically determined by the change in the number of rounds (in which case, such bets will be voided). For example, if a fight gets changed from a 12 to a 10-round fight, bets on rounds 11 and 12 will be void. If the void leg is part of a Bet Builder, the bet will be settled on the price of the remaining selections.
• Match Betting markets where no draw selection is offered will be made void if the match ends in a draw.
• In contests where the fight is declared a Draw but a 4th Judge is used to determine a winner, the fight will be settled as a Draw.
• If a fighter is disqualified, the opposing fighter will be settled as the winner by method of KO/TKO/Stoppage in the round the fight is stopped in.
• In the event that no result is called for the fight (i.e. the fight occurs but nobody is declared to win, lose or draw), all bets will be made void.
• Exhibition Fights - if a result is declared in the ring, all bets will be settled as per the result announced. If there is no result declared, all bets will be void.

• This market is betting on the round/rounds in which the result of the fight will be determined, it is not betting on named fighters to win the round/rounds on the judge's scorecards.
• If a boxer withdraws during the period between rounds, the fight is deemed to have ended in the previous round.
• The bell will signal the end of a round and the bell being sounded again will signal the start of the next round. Therefore, a boxer who withdraws after the bell is sounded to signal the start of the next round will be deemed to have lost in that round, even if there's no competitive action in that round.
• Subject to the following rule, should, for any reason, the scheduled number of rounds be changed before the commencement of the contest, all round by round bets will stand.
• Notwithstanding the above rule, should, for any reason, the scheduled number of rounds be decreased before the commencement of the contest, all round by round bets on the dropped rounds will be void. Bets on all the remaining rounds will stand.
• Where a contest finishes before the completion of the scheduled number of rounds and, for any reason, the winner is decided by the judges' scorecards (technical decision/technical draw) then all round bets will be deemed losers.
• If the contest goes to the scorecards, then all round bets will be deemed losers.
• Where a contest finishes before the scheduled number of rounds due to an accidental injury and the winner is not determined by the judges' scorecards, all bets will be void.
• For Total Rounds settlement purposes, a fight with 3-minute rounds, 1 minute and 30 seconds will represent half a round. For example, for a bet on "Over 10.5 rounds" to be a winner, the fight must last beyond 1 minute and 30 seconds in round 11.
• Similarly, a fight with 2-minute rounds, 60 seconds will represent half a round. For example, for a bet on "Over 8.5 rounds" to be a winner, the fight must last beyond 60 seconds in round 9.
Method of Victory
You're betting on: which fighter will win and by what method (e.g. A Khan to win by knockout). A knockout (KO) occurs when the boxer does not stand up after a ten count. Technical knockouts (TKO) occur when a boxer is knocked down three times within the same round and the fight is stopped or where the referee steps in to stop the fight when it is decided that a fighter cannot safely continue. If a fighter fails to answer a bell for the next round then this will also be deemed a TKO. For betting purposes, KO/TKO options also include disqualification and retirement.
The result is settled on the official result announced by the match referee on the conclusion of the fight:
• KO = Knockout - (Typically this is when a fighter is knocked down and unable to beat the referee's count)
• TKO = Technical Knockout - (Typically this is when a fighter is knocked down and gets up to beat the count but the referee stops the fight as it is deemed the boxer is not fit to continue or the referee feels the boxer is taking too much punishment and stops the fight)
• RTD = Opponent Retired - (Typically this is when a boxer returns to their corner at the end of the round but doesn't come out for the next round as their corner has deemed them unfit to continue)
• UD = Unanimous Decision - (This is when all three judges agree which fighter won the fight when it goes to points after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
• SD = Split Decision - (This is when two of the three judges score for the same fighter to win the fight and the third judges scores for the other fighter when it goes to points after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
• MD = Majority Decision - (This is when two of the three judges score for the same fighter to win the fight and the third judge scores it a draw when it goes to the scorecards after the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed)
• TD = Technical Decision - (Typically this is when has been a fight has to be stopped because of an accidental head butt and a fighter is deemed not able to continue due to an injury. The fight must pass a certain number of rounds set by the competition rules of that fight and then it goes to the judges scorecards and the winner decided on who was winning at that point when the fight was stopped. If a fight doesn't reach the required round when it happens then the fight is a technical draw)
• DQ = Opponent Disqualified - (Typically this is because one of the opponents have repeatedly or flagrantly fouled an opponent or violated other rules. If both fighters are disqualified then the fight is declared a no contest).
Technical Decision/Draw
• If a fight is scheduled for more than four rounds and, after four rounds, an accidental foul occurs which causes an injury (further to which the referee stops the fight), the fight will be deemed to have resulted in a technical decision in favour of the boxer who is ahead on the scorecards at the time the fight is stopped (and all markets on the fight will stand).
• If the accidental injury / technical decision occurs during the first 4 rounds, all bets will be made void UNLESS the result of the relevant market has already been unequivocally determined or if the judges' scorecards are used to determine an official winner at ringside.
• If an intentional foul causes an injury and the injury results in the fight being stopped in a later round: (i) the injured boxer will be deemed to have won by technical decision if he is ahead on the scorecards and (ii) the fight will result in a 'technical draw' if the injured boxer is behind or even on the score cards (and, for settlement purposes, the result of the fight will be deemed to be a draw).
• For betting purposes betting on rounds or group of rounds is for a fighter to win by KO, TKO or disqualification during that round or group of rounds. In the event of a technical decision before the end of the fight all bets will be settled as a win by decision. Round bets will be deemed losers.
To score a knockdown
• For settlement purposes, a knockdown is defined as a fighter being KO'd or receiving a mandatory eight count (anything deemed a slip by the referee will not count).
